Service Description: Rehabilitation and healthcare services for people with low vision * supports clients in maintaining safety and independence * assistance with:
  • choosing low-vision aids and assistive devices for daily tasks
  • learning safe methods for meal preparation and using household appliances
  • techniques for organizing and identifying household items
  • navigating indoor environments
  • falls prevention


Specialized Services - Supports for clients to achieve long-term, advanced goals * specialists may help with developing essential skills for daily living, travelling independently, and using assistive devices

Early Intervention Services - Supports for children with low vision and their families * early interventions help families understand child’s vision loss, address concerns, identify and refer to specialized services, and transition into community activities, child care, and school

Vision Loss Rehabilitation Ontario is a health services organization. We provide training that enables people who are blind or partially sighted to develop or restore key daily living skills, helping enhance their independence, safety and mobility. Our certified specialists work closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists and other health care professionals, providing essential care on a referral basis in homes and communities across Ontario.
