Service Description:
|
The only specialized children's mental health program for Deaf and hard of hearing children, youth and families and children of Deaf adults in the province of Ontario * offered in-person and virtually * services are linguistically and culturally accessible and are provided by/in American Sign Language (ASL), deaf counsellors, professional interpreters
Provides individualized services which may include:
- individual therapy
- family therapy
- group therapy
- art therapy
- parent/sibling support
- case management
- advocacy
- training and education
- consultation with other agencies providing service to Deaf clients
- early intervention program for parents of children from the age of o to 6 * contact Robert Haughton at rhaughton@bobrumball.org
Staff are trained professionals who can help with problems such as:- school issues
- grief counselling
- relationship issues
- separation and divorce
- depression
- anxiety
- self-harm
- physical/sexual abuse
- family conflict
- family communication issues

Deaf and hard of hearing children and youth (ages zero to 18) and their families * children and youth (ages zero to 18) of Deaf adults, Youth ages 18-21 if attending Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf
