As a Financial Services Assistant (Temporary,
Full-Time; Start Date: October 6, 2025, to May 7, 2027; Location: Any Ontario
Health atHome office location within the North East), you will provide financial
support services to the management and professional staff of Ontario Health
atHome.

What will you do?

Provide financial support services to the management and
professional staff;
·
Verify Service Provider billing files for accuracy and
compliance with contract terms and conditions;
·
Maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing, entering, and
processing financial information;
·
Demonstrate willingness to learn new methods, procedures
and/or techniques;
·
Respond to a variety of inquiries from both internal and
external sources;
·
Collaborate with other Ontario Health atHome staff and/or
managers to identify problems, handle complaints, and suggest changes to
current practices and procedures.
What must you
have?
- Minimum of a post-secondary diploma or certification in the
financial field (accounting, commerce, business administration), or
equivalent and relevant work experience;
- Relevant and/or related experience providing financial
support services (accounting, data entry, adhering to financial policies,
etc.);

Good understanding of general
office administrative processes and procedures;
·
General understanding of basic
accounting principles coupled with knowledge of financial systems and reports;
·
Proven proficiency with a
variety of software programs in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft
Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel;
·
Ability to manage time, adapt
to changing priorities, and organize work efficiently;
·
Good knowledge of Ontario
Health atHome business objectives, priorities, practices, and procedures;
·
Good understanding of financial
services objectives and priorities;
·
Ability to handle sensitive and
confidential information in a discreet and professional manner when discussing
issues with other Ontario Health atHome staff or external patients;
·
Considerable interpersonal
skills are required when interacting with Ontario Health atHome staff or
external vendors and service providers;
·
Ability to effectively exchange
and communicate information with a variety of internal and external contacts;
- Advanced oral and written proficiency in English is essential;
- We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a
condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of
COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date.

Knowledge of current Ontario
Health atHome patient database system (CHRIS)

Ability
to speak French or another second language
